The Germans controlled large periods of the match, but the lack of a proper striker and the injury-ridden defense cost the side.

The firing of former head coach Christophe Galtier will also affect the team moving forward. In one season with PSG, Galtier won Ligue 1 but couldn’t get past the Round of 16 during the Champions League. Reports are indicating that Nagelsmann will be his replacement, but we don’t know for sure yet.
Lionel Messi announced his departure from the French club as well. Major changes are in the works for PSG, and the squad could look a lot different next season. Although they’re still the best team in Ligue 1, PSG has a lot of work to do if they plan on winning a UCL title in 2024.
