Kyrie Irving stayed hot, Anthony Davis went nuts and we went 7-1 (574-294 on the season) on a fun Sunday. Irving just might have to keep himself ablaze tonight, since LeBron James could sit out, while a number of teams will either be without key players or will be resting some of their starters on purpose. Be sure to track the latest injury buzz before your finalize your NBA betting tonight, and hit up our brief analysis for each matchup to see which teams are the safest picks to get the week going:
Raptors @ Pacers
Indiana finally lost after a nice seven-game winning streak, so they’ll look to bounce back and start another one at home against the Raptors. Toronto has been in free fall (2-8 over last 10), so it’s really hard to pick them tonight. Indy has been great since the All-Star break and is pretty good at home, so they get the nod.
Pick: Pacers 98, Raptors 95
Trail Blazers @ Wizards
Portland heads into Washington to take down the Wiz, while both teams are heating up with three straight wins. The Wizards could be a fun team to roll with thanks to Nene Hilario returning to the lineup, while Portland is merely average (16-14) on the road this year.
Pick: Wizards 104, Blazers 99
76ers @ Celtics
Boston is on fire right now with four straight wins and now they get to host one of the worst teams in the league. If the Celtics are serious about pushing their way into the playoffs this year, they need to lock down gimme games. This should be one of those.
Pick: Celtics 106, Sixers 103
Cavaliers @ Heat
LeBron James returns to South Beach for the second time this year. Dwyane Wade and co. got the best of their former partner in crime the first time, but the Cavs are much better now.
Pick: Cavs 105, Heat 101
Nets @ Timberwolves
Minnesota could be without both Ricky Rubio and Nikola Pekovic tonight, so that puts this one in favor of the Nets.
Pick: Nets 104, T’Wolves 101
Nuggets @ Grizzlies
Denver will be resting Ty Lawson, Danilo Gallinari and Kenneth Faried tonight, so the surging Nuggets will be extremely short-handed on the road against the Grizz. Advantage: Memphis.
Pick: Grizz 108, Nuggets 102
Thunder @ Mavericks
Dallas is trying to stop the bleeding but they’re running hot and cold and Russell Westbrook is coming to town. Considering the tear Westbrook is on, the Mavs are in serious trouble.
Pick: Thunder 109, Mavs 106
Hornets @ Jazz
Two solid defensive squads square off, while the Hornets get Al Jefferson back (who faces his former team in the Jazz). Charlotte is actually finally 100% healthy for pretty much the first time all year, which should help them to their second win in a row.
Pick: Hornets 101, Jazz 99
Hawks @ Kings
Atlanta will be resting a few more bodies tonight, while Kyle Korver will sit out due to a broken nose. That should give the Kings a solid shot at stealing a nice win at home.
Pick: Kings 105, Hawks 103
Lakers @ Warriors
Los Angeles heads into Golden State, where the Warriors still have lost just two times all year. Not much else needs to be said.
Pick: Warriors 111, Lakers 103
