Monday was rough for NBA betting, as the Hornets face-planted against the Jazz, the Cavs fell flat in South Beach and OKC ran out of steam in Dallas. Those were just three games that may not have gone NBA bettors way, but if you followed along with our NBA picks from Monday, you made out with a decent 6-4 record.
We strive for better production than that, however, so we’ll march into Tuesday night with our 580-298 season mark with our sights on perfection on a five-game slate:
Grizzlies @ Pistons
Memphis is still fighting for the West’s #2 seed and the Pistons have lost 10 games in a row. Make it 11.
Pick: Grizz 106, Pistons 97
Spurs @ Knicks
San Antonio is another team that has to keep winning to ensure their spot in the West’s playoffs, while they’ve actually been hot with seven wins in their last 10 outings. They’re also facing the Knicks, who have won 13 games all year.
Pick: Spurs 108, Knicks 94
Bucks @ Pelicans
Milwaukee has been in a downward slide (3-7 in last 10 games) and now they have to take on The Brow in New Orleans. That’s bad news against the Pellies, who are 7-3 in their last 10 and are also a solid 22-12 on their home floor.
Pick: Pellies 103, Bucks 101
Magic @ Rockets
The Magic somehow topped the Rockets in a shootout in Orlando, but this caps the series and is in Houston, where the Rockets tend to dominate. James Harden should go off, as he and his Rockets won’t want to get swept by a weak Magic team.
Pick: Rockets 109, Magic 104
Hornets @ Clippers
Charlotte was embarrassed last night and unless they play elite defense tonight they’re bound to get smoked again. Blake Griffin is back and the Clips are at their best at the Staples Center.
Pick: Clippers 112, Hornets 91
