We overcame a few bad picks to end Big NBA Wednesday with a solid 7-4 mark, so hopefully you bet along with us and made out with some cash last night. We get right back to it for Thursday’s games, which end up being a light four-pack. We know by now that is to set us up for a mountainous three-day event over the next few days, but we’ll still try to crush the night with some golden NBA picks.
Less games offers fewer chances to stumble into awful upsets, so let’s run through the games and see if we can’t nail down a perfect 4-0 mark and improve upon our 417-216 season record:
Washington and Charlotte get Thursday night going, as these two teams face for the second time in four nights. Charlotte got the best of Washington in D.C., as these two squads appear to actually matchup quite well. The Hornets will need another big outing from Al Jefferson to go up 2-0 in the season series, but that could go down with the Wiz coming in with an ugly four-game skid.
Pick: Hornets 101, Wizards 98
Cleveland has won 11 straight games and gets a hefty test tonight when Chris Paul and Blake Griffin come to town. Griffin destroyed the Cavs last time, but Cleveland still won a crazy 126-121 shootout in L.A. With the Cavs on a serious role, look for them to hold their ground and get a 12th straight win.
Pick: Cavs 109, Clippers 106
Dallas could be dead tired when they head to Sac-town tonight, as they’re fresh off of a marathon outing against the Warriors. The Kings should be well rested and could have a real shot at upending the Mavs in a trap game.
Pick: Kings 104, Mavs 102
In one of the better games of the night, the Suns travel to Portland to try to take down the Blazers. Portland could be getting back on track and will aim for their second win in a row, but they’ve been shaky lately (3-7 in last 10 games) and the Suns can be a lot to handle offensively. That being said, Portland is still a staggering 21-5 on their home floor this year and with Robin Lopez returning last game, they are now 100% healthy.
Pick: Blazers 108, Suns 105
