It’s Pac-12 vs the Mountain West Conference as the Arizona Wildcats take on the Hawaii Warriors at the Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is the first meeting between the two teams since 2016 when Arizona won 47-28 at home.

The Arizona Wildcats played in a Bowl Game in five out of six seasons under Rich Rodriguez who was replaced in 2017. Kevin Sumlin took over last season and the Wildcats didn’t make a Bowl Game after finishing with a 5-7 record. The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors were among the inexperienced teams last season but they ended up with an 8-6 record. They played in the Hawaii Bowl where they lost to Louisiana Tech 14-31. Despite the loss, it was a big year as the Rainbow Warriors were only 3-9 in 2017. With the 4th most experienced team in the nation this season, bigger things are expected from Hawaii. They have 18 starters back from last season including QB Cole McDonald. Cedric Byrd and JoJo Ward will return after impressive seasons as well. Hawaii averaged 30.5 PPG last season and given what they are almost returning the same team from last season, that maybe their baseline for the coming season. However, the Rainbow Warriors enter this game as the football betting underdog against Arizona.

Arizona is 5-10 SU in their last 15 games, 1-7 SU in their last 8 games on the road, and 8-1 SU in their last nine games against the Mountain West Conference.
