Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad is Athletic Bilbao’s rival in the Basque Derby.  They were founded in 1909 and were also among the founding members of the La Liga in 1929. They spent their longest spell in the top flight from 1967-2007 or a period of 40 years. This is a club which won the La Liga twice and in back to back years from 1981-82.
