The Green Bay Packers host the Chicago Bears on Sunday at Lambeau Field. n a crucial contest in the NFC.
The Packers are currently second in the NFC Conference and are close to clinching the NFC North with their 10-3 SU record. Green Bay has won three out of their last four games heading to this home contest. Meanwhile, the Bears continue their hunt for a wild card spot in the playoffs. However, their path isn’t easy as they will need to win out their remaining games and hope to get help from other teams to do so. The Bears have won four out of their last five games.
Packers Lead NFC North
The Green Bay Packers kept their lead over the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North Division after a 20-15 win over the Washington Redskins. The Packers have won two straight games after losing two of three games. They are now 10-3 SU on the season and are one game ahead of the Vikings in the divisional race.
Aaron Rodgers has passed for a total of 3,260 yards with 23 touchdowns and only two interceptions. Aaron Jones leads the Packers in rushing with 779 yards and 12 touchdowns on 175 carries. Davante Adams has 56 catches for 685 receiving yards with three touchdown grabs.
The Packers are 16th in the NFL in passing at 233.1 yards per game. They are ranked 17th on the ground with 107.0 rushing yards per game. Green Bay is 13th in the league in scoring at 23.8 points per game and they are giving up an average of 20.8 points per game this season.
Slim Playoff Hopes
The Chicago Bears kept their slim playoff hopes alive with a 31-24 win over the Dallas Cowboys last week. The Bears have lost just once in their last five games after a slow 3-5 SU start. However, the Bears need to win all their remaining games and get help from other teams to make it to the postseason.
Mitchell Trubisky has passed for a total of 2,440 yards with 16 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. David Montgomery is the team’s leading rusher with 680 rushing yards with five touchdowns on 192 carries. Allen Robinson II is their top receiver with 898 receiving yards with 7 touchdowns on 76 catches.
The Bears are ranked 28th in passing at 204.6 yards per game this season. They are ranked 29th in rushing at 84.8 yards per contest. Chicago is scoring an average of 18.7 points per game which is 26th overall and they are allowing their opponents to score an average of 17.8 points per outing.
Who Wins?
Chicago is 4-1 SU in their last five games played. The Bears are 3-3 SU in six road games played this season, and 4-1 SU in their last five games against the NFC Conference. Green Bay is 7-2 SU in their last nine games played. The Packers are 6-1 SU in their last seven games played at home. Head to head, Green Bay is 8-2 SU in their last 10 games played against Chicago. The Packers are also 9-2 SU in their last 11 home games against the Bears.
The path to the playoffs isn’t an easy one for the Bears. First of all, Chicago needs to win out their remaining games and then they need the help of some teams. It’s a longshot really, but after going 3-5, the Bears have won four out of their last five. Trubisky is coming off a promising outing against the Cowboys and the Bears are still in it.
The Packers offense hasn’t been as bad as the Bears’ but they have been inconsistent all season long. The Green Bay offense was held to 20 or fewer points for the third time in their last five games and Rodgers threw for only 195 yards through the air. But running back Aaron Jones has been solid and Chicago’s defense has been stout at home.
There is plenty on the line in this game but the Packers should have the edge here. Chicago’s best bet here is their defense and they lost leading tackler Roquan Smith to an injury last week. Green Bay should get enough offense to pull off the win at home.
Prediction: Green Bay Packers

Green Bay has outscored Chicago by an average of 9.3 points per game in their last 10 meetings. Green Bay’s offense has been inconsistent this season but Chicago’s offense has been consistently in the bottom 10. If there’s anything positive about Green Bay here, it’s that they’ve bounced back from poor performances. The Packers are 7-0 ATS in their last seven games played after an ATS loss. And yes, don’t forget this is Lambeau Field where they are 21-9 ATS in their last 31 games when favored by less than a touchdown.
Prediction: Packers -4.5
The total has gone under in 13 out of the last 18 games played by the Bears. The under is 6-1 in Chicago’s last seven games played against the NFC North Division. The total has gone under in four out of the last five games played by Green Bay. The Packers have seen the total go under in four out of their last five games played against the NFC Conference. Head to head, the under is 2-1 in the last three games between the Bears and Packers.

These teams have combined to score an average of 33.67 points per game in their last three head to head meetings. Chicago’s offense has sputtered all season long and although they scored a 10-game high of 31 points in their last outing, The Bears have scored 21 or fewer points in seven out of their last 10 games played. The Packers defense has yielded 16 or fewer points in three out of their last four games played and Green Bay has scored 24 or fewer points in four out of their last five games. I like the teams to play to the under.
