The Philadelphia Eagles hit the MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Giants on Sunday night football.

New York Giants

The Giants were one of the surprises after posting a 7-2-1 SU record after Week 10. They have since lost two and are coming off a disappointing draw versus the Washington Commanders last week. Graham Gano missed a 52-yard field goal attempt that would have won it for the Giants.

New York earned a total of 316 yards in that game including 182 through the air. However, they gave up 411 yards including 165 rushing yards. After that disappointing performance, they look to bounce back but will have to do it against the best team in the league the Eagles.

Daniel Jones has passed for 2,365 passing yards with 11 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions. Jones has also rushed for 522 yards with 4 TD runs this season. Saquon Barkley has rushed for 1,055 yards with 8 TD runs and 265 receiving yards. Julian Love has 63 solo tackles, one forced fumble, two INTs, and 4 defended passes. Haason Reddick leads the team with 9 sacks while contributing 23 solo tackles.

The Giants aren’t happy with the tie last Week. While they are still ahead of the Commanders, a loss here would send them down to the third place with Washington idle this week. That could be bad for their playoff ambitions.

New York may have to mimic what the Commanders did against the Eagles. They will also need a big game from Saquon Barkley who had fewer rushing yards (63) on more carries than Daniel Jones last week. The Commanders had 49 carries for 152 yards against the Eagles.

The Eagles got off to an 8-0 SU start to the season by blitzing opponents on both sides of the field. That relentless play made them the best team in football this season. Philly continues to have the league’s best record. But they cannot overlook the Giants.

New York was once 5-2 but they have struggled in recent weeks. To win this game, they need to slow down the Eagles on offense using Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones’ ground attack. With too many injuries to their receiving corps, running the football is their best chance here.

The Eagles have done the job this season both at home and on the road. Jalen Hurts has done a fabulous job moving the ball downfield and limiting his turnovers. The Eagles defense has been good at pressuring QBs and defending the pass. With their defense’s ability to force turnovers and the offense’s ability to put up points on the scoreboards, don’t see how the Eagles can do the job here.

New York is also missing key players on offense right now so it won’t be at full strength on Sunday. The Eagles pass rush should be able to overwhelm the Giants’ offensive line. This will force Jones to hurried throws and even turnovers. Give me the Eagles to win by more than one touchdown.
