Inter Milan and Lecce face off at the Stadio Guisseppe Meazza on August 26, 2019, in Italian Serie A action.
Inter
Football Club Internazionale Milano or simply Inter was founded in 1908 and is the only Italian football club that has never been relegated from the top flight. Inter has won a total of 30 domestic titles to match rivals A.C. Milan’s count. They have 18 league titles, 7 Coppa Italia and 5 Supercoppa Italiana. They won five straight league titles from 2006-2010, a record at that time. They won the Champions League in back to back years in 1964 and 1965 and then won the same title a third time in 2010 when they recorded an unprecedented Italian treble. They have also won 3 UEFA Cups, 2 Intercontinental Cups, and one FIFA Club World Cup.

Lecce
Unione Sportiva Lecce was also founded in 1908 but unlike Inter, they have spent most of their recent history moving back and forth the Second Division and Serie A. They only made their first Serie A appearance in 1985-86 and their best-ever finish in the top flight was 9th in 1988-89. Lecce won the Coppa Ali della Vittoria as the Serie B winner in 2010, a Coppa Italia Serie C title in 1975 and an Anglo-Italian Cup Semiprofessionals in 1976. They finished 2nd in the Serie B last season to earn a promotion to the top flight this year.

Who Wins?
Inter Milan are big soccer betting favorites to win this match and their fans should be excited for the next few seasons, because they are catching up to Juventus in terms of transfer capability and squad quality, and also because they have a great manager in Antonio Conte. In fact, Inter has signed Godin, Barella, and Lukaku- all brilliant signings that can possibly push for the title.
There are plenty of reasons for Inter Milan fans to be excited about the coming season and beyond. They have shown that they can catch up with Juventus in terms of transfer capability and squad talent. They also have a very good manager in Antonio Conte and they have signed big names like Godin, Barella, and Lukaku which should push them for a real shot at the Serie A title this year.
Lecce is coming off a 2nd place finish in Serie B last season but we all know that the level of talent is much different in the top flight. Not to mention that Lecce won’t be facing just a Serie A team but a true contender like Inter who has an elite level talent and an excellent manager like Antonio Conte. I’m picking Inter to beat Lecce on August 26, 2019.
