The struggling defending Super Bowl champions Los Angeles Rams travel to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the rolling Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night

Los Angeles is 3-7 SU on the season and they are at the bottom of the AFC West Division team standings. The Rams head to this game having lost six out of their last seven games played including their last four. In their last game, Los Angeles dropped a 27-20 road game against the New Orlean Saints.

Kansas City is 8-2 SU this year and they have the best record in the AFC. The AFC West leaders currently lead the Super Bowl favorites Buffalo Bills by one game in the team standings. The Chiefs have won four straight games and are 6-1 in their last 7 games played. In their most recent assignment, the Chiefs outgunned the Chargers 30-27.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams’ bad season went worse when Matthew Stafford left last week’s game against the New Orleans Saints with a concussion. Since the Rams are almost out of the playoff picture, there is no reason to risk Stafford here. With Stafford out, Bryce Perkins will play behind center for Los Angeles.

Patrick Mahomes is the current MVP betting favorite. The Chiefs QB has passed for 3,265 yards this season with 28 TDs and a QBR of 79. Isiah Pacheco leads Kansas City with 386 rushing yards on 75 carries with one TD run. Meanwhile, Travis Kelce has caught 69 passes for 855 yards with 11 touchdown grabs.

Nick Bolton leads the Chiefs with 94 tackles with two sacks while Chri Jones has 9 sacks and 22 tackles. On the other hand, Juan Thornhill has 1 INT and 35 tackles on the season for Kansas City.

Kansas City ranks 18th overall in defense at 23.3 points per game conceded. The Chiefs have the top-scoring offense in the NFL this season at 30.1 points per game. Kansa City’s defense hasn’t been elite. However, their offense has been very good and it has offset their defensive issues.

Add Kadarius Toney who went out with a hamstring injury last weekend. Despite those injuries, Patrick Mahomes completed 20-34 passes for 329 yards with 3 TDs and no interception to lead the Chiefs to a 30-27 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Travis Kelce caught 6 passes for 115 yards with 3 TD grabs.

The Chiefs are 4-0 SU but just 2-2 ATS in their last 4 games played. They have taken sole possession of the first place in the AFC. Smith-Schuster and Toney are both listed as questionable to return on Sunday. Toney has a history of hamstring injuries and will be unlikely to play on Sunday.

Whether Stafford plays or not, the Rams do not have the offense to keep up with the Chiefs scoring machine. Los Angeles’ defense has to play a perfect game to keep this game competitive

For as long as Mahomes and Travis Kelce are healthy on Sunday, the Chiefs’ offense should be fine in this game despite the injuries to other offensive players. And with Isaiah Pacheco looking comfortable in the starting running back role, the Kansa City offense will just keep rolling here. It’s a huge spread to cover but the Chiefs are on a roll and the Rams are reeling.

Knowing the Chiefs, I think they will come up big in this game.

Los Angeles’ offense has been so terrible that we haven’t noticed the inconsistency of Donald and Ramsey. Without a good running attack, the Rams will be forced to pass the ball and throw downfield where they have also struggled.

Kansas City should race to an early lead here and the Rams won’t be able to catch up. Give me the Chiefs to blow out the Rams.

These teams have played in track meets in their recent head-to-head matchups. However, this is a different scenario. The Rams are struggling terribly on offense and the Chiefs are dealing with injuries to their receiving corps. I expect the Chiefs to blow out the Rams but this one should fall short of the total.
